MESSAGE FROM CAMP AUSTRALIA

Our entire team is very excited to be a part of Coorparoo State School and looking forward to meeting you all as school begins for 2024, with particular mention to all our Prep families that being accessing Your OSHC next week. It is an honour to be a part of such a beautiful community of families.

Whilst we have experienced some challenges during the early stages of our partnership, rest assured we remain focused on getting the service right and providing a service that is second to none. With this in mind there are some important updates that we wanted to pass on.

Juniors - Prep and Year 1

Miss Emily is our amazing Lead Coordinator for our Junior Group. She has a warm, friendly attitude to working with children and has joined us from Coorparoo's previous BASC provider. If you have any questions or concerns upon pick-up/drop-off regarding Junior children, you are welcome to see Miss Emily.

Most of the time, Juniors will be in the Blue Room, however, for Before School Care, please drop off your children to the Main OSHC Room, where they will enjoy a nutritious breakfast and some activities to start the day. Close to 8am each day, Miss Emily and her team will lead the Juniors to the Blue Room. At 8.45am each day, Juniors will attend their classrooms with Preps being walked over the Prep Building to meet with Miss Emily and her team to meet their Teachers.

For After School Care, Miss Emily and her team will meet Prep's underneath the Prep Building, providing each a blue vest and walking them across the field to the Blue Room. Year 1's will make their way to the Blue Room each day, with some guidance and support from our Team. Juniors can be collected from the Blue Room until 5:30pm, after which, Miss Emily and her team will take them to the Main OSHC Room where you can collect your child.

Senior Information

Mr Isaiah is our wonderful Lead Coordinator for our Senior Group. Mr Isaiah brings his friendly, helpful attitude to the team and has also joined us from Coorparoo's previous BASC provider. If you have any questions or concerns regarding Senior children, you are welcome to approach Mr Isaiah.

All Senior children will be located in our Main room at the front of the school (through the 2 large red doors at the basement level).

For Before School Care, Grades 2 - 6 will be signed in at the Main room with the Juniors. They will be offered Breakfast and a program of activities including crafts, construction, outdoor games and more. At 8:30am, Seniors will be signed out of service and sent to school, with Camp Australia staff monitoring outside to ensure safety of all children.

For After School Care, Senior Children (Year 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) will be signed in at the Main OSHC Room. Children will make their own way to the room. Supporting the Grade 2's, a team member will be stationed at the play shed to direct Grade 2 to the Main OSHC Room. After sign in, they will be offered a Senior afternoon tea at the Tuckshop from 3:30pm, followed by a variety of programmed activities and indoor and outdoor play until pick up.

Extra-Curricular Activities

The children are very excited to be beginning all of their extra-curricular activities this term! We would like to inform all families that if your child is attending any extra-curricular activities during Before or After School Care, we require all families to fill in an Extra-Curricular Activity (ECA) form. This provides your written consent for staff to escort children to these activities. Please understand that due to our legal requirements, we cannot escort children without this form being filled. If you need an ECA form, please see Georgia in the office, or Emily or Isaiah in the Main Room. If you have any questions or concerns about the above, please see Georgia (Service Director), or Emily & Isaiah (Coordinators).

We look forward to a great 2024!
